Are all your plumbing licenses up to date?

If not, the fines could be steep.

Recently in Queensland a man copped a fine of $4500 plus $2200 in costs, for unlawful contracting and misuse of a licence. Apparently the man had been a licensed contractor for seven years but let his licence lapse.

Despite being informed by letter that his licence was suspended, he proceeded to install a hot water system in a private residence and then filled out paperwork in-putting his lapsed QBCC licence to receive the solar rebate.

A salient reminder to all plumbers that no amount of plumbing work can be done without a licence.
