Around the Globe...
World Plumbing Day
Plumbers around the globe have been recognised on World Plumbing Day (March 11).
It is an initiative of the World Plumbing Council to highlight and celebrate the important role of plumbing when it comes to ensuring a healthy and safe society.
You only have to recall recent disasters like the 2011 Tsunami in Japan to understand how important safe drinking water and sanitation systems are to the modern world.
Easy to take for granted but potentially deadly when they are not there.
