Changes to apprenticeship NSW
A new clause - "Clause21A" has been added to the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act in NSW which will allow the Government to sign off apprentices as soon as the training organisation says that they are competent.
This means that some apprentices will be able to be signed off from the training contract at the end of just three years and then go to the office of fair trading and obtain registration.
An upcoming regional trade show at Mingara on the Central Coast hosted by Master Plumbers NSW will have an industry briefing to discuss the recent changes.
For more information regarding the briefing and the trade show, contact the Master Plumbers Association of NSW on 1800 424 181.
