Plumbing Industry Win
A dedicated plumbing industry regulatory body has been re-established.
The Service Trades Council (STC) Bill was recently passed in the Queensland Parliament.
The STC will advise the government on National policy development including licensing, discipline and other related matters.
Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland is very supportive of the move, saying the model has been a resounding success and should be again by enhancing the trade through accountability and communication networks and better jurisdictional interpretation of National and State Regulations, Codes and Standards.
