World Plumbing Day
Don't forget World Plumbing Day on March 11.
Initiated by the World Plumbing Council (WPC), this global event celebrates the Plumbing Industry and the critical role plumbing plays in a modern society.
Did you know that the United Nations declared 2005-2015 the International Decade for Action “Water for Life”.
An extremely important initiative in a world where preventable diseases linked to water and sanitation claim about 3.1 million lives each year, most of them children under 5!
Meantime, the WPC recently launched a research database on its website so you can see what's happening around the world with regard to research into plumbing and water-related issues.
It highlights industry-related research programs that have been completed or are in progress, while also allowing users to submit their ideas and recommendations for new research programs to help advance knowledge on these topics and improve the way things are done.
The website is for academic researchers, students,
industry, manufacturers, associations, governments or any individual interested in plumbing or water-related research programs.
