We've had a few clients calling about domain name renewals.
There are some 'dishonourable' (to put it kindly) companies who are posting 'invoice looking' notices saying that your domain name is up for renewal.
The scam is, the company is not the current domain host, but by paying the bill, you will initiate a transfer of your domain hosting to them - at greatly inflated prices. The cost is around $250 for two years. To give you a comparison, we charge $66 for the same thing.
So if you get a suspicious looking domain registration renewal, contact your current domain host to check it all out.
